Rockstar Games Confirm GTA V Is In Full Development

Rockstar Games have today launched the Official GTA V Website (or at least the splash page). Along with the website launch was a press release...

We are very proud to officially announce that Grand Theft Auto V is in full development.

Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V heads to the city of Los Santos and surrounding hills, countryside and beaches in the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created.

A bold new direction in open-world freedom, storytelling, mission-based gameplay and online multiplayer, Grand Theft Auto V focuses on the pursuit of the almighty dollar in a re-imagined, present day Southern California.

Rockstar Founder Sam Houser also added in a Take-Two Press Release:

"Grand Theft Auto V is another radical reinvention of the Grand Theft Auto universe,"
"We are incredibly excited to share our new vision with our fans."

So there you have it. Can we take this as confirmation we won't be seeing the rest of San Andreas? Or are they holding some back some info for the future? And by the "largest" game they have created, is the map bigger than Red Dead Redemption?
